Trash Bash (Annual Spring Event)

 

Our annual Trash Bash is typically scheduled for the first Saturday in May, but you can start cleaning up the public site of your choice anytime before then.

Deliver the collected illegally dumped trash to Willingdon Beach’s gravel field on Trash Bash day between 9:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. for free disposal.

If you don’t have a place in mind, come down to Willingdon’s gravel field anytime after 9:30 a.m. and visit the registration table.  Volunteers there will direct you to reported or common dumpsites in the area. There is no need to register, but registration allows you to receive lunch and be eligible for prizes.

The TrashOut app is also a great tool for locating reported trash sites.  Download it to report and view illegal dump sites in need of clean up.

This event has gone ‘Back to Basics’, so no household items, please.  Illegally dumped trash only.
